165,000 tpa chlorine plant with caustic evaporation to 50%, chlorine liquefaction and H2 treatment.
Process Overview:
- CELL ROOM – Consisting of (140) DMT43 diaphragm cells. Electrical power is received at 66 KV into the (2) rectiformers rated at 60 KA and 510
volts
- Chlorine liquefaction plant – Chlorine is cooled, chilled, wet filtered, sulfuric acid dryed, dry filtered, liquefied with (2) 1050 kw Borsig
compressors with (3) 330 ton Chlorine storage tanks
- Hydrogen plant – H2 treatment consists of cooling, compression, O2 removal and drying. H2 compressor – Pignone 4 stage recip., 8150
Nm3/hr, from 1 bar to 58 bar for export, 2,900 kw
- Caustic plant – Quadruple effect evaporation plant, 5000 m2 surface area, nickel/ebrite/316ss construction to concentrate caustic to 50%.

- (3) 1.2m diameter pusher centrifuges, Escher Wyss, model 1200,132w
- (2) 630mm x 1.75m decanter centrifuges, Escher Wyss, model ZDS IV-L, 75kw.
- (3) Funda filters, model A-80, 316ss
