Process Description

Organic raw material is transferred to the reactor through an in-line preheater. The catalyst (Potassium hydroxide) is added and the batch is dried under vacuum. The reactor is pressurized with nitrogen and ethylene oxide is added under pressure and temperature control (5 bars, 150°C). When the reaction is finished the product is transferred to the product blending vessel through an in-line cooler.
