All process units from 45,000 barrels per day refinery

Process Units:

TOPPING UNIT: THE ATMOSPHERIC DISTILLATION UNIT WAS STARTED UP IN LATE 1978 AND WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED BY HOW–BAKER ENGINEERS FOR 25,000 BPD. ORIGINALLY DESIGNED TO YIELD #6 FUEL OIL, #2 FUEL OIL AND NAPTHA AND HAS SINCE BEEN MODIFIED TO YIELD A COMMERCIAL JET-A IN ADDITION TO THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT SLATE.

VACUUM DISTILLATION UNIT: VDU WAS DESIGNED AND BUILT IN 1982 BY LITWIN ENGINEERS AND IS CAPABLE OF PROCESSING UPTO 27,000 BPSD OF FRESH FEED (ATMOSPHERIS BOTTOMS FROM THE TOPPING UNIT)

TREATERS: KEROSENE TREATERS CONSIST OF TWO SALT DRYERS, CLAY FILTER, SAND FILTER, FOLLOWED BY A PRECIPITATOR, SWEETENER (PBS) AND SULFER REMOVAL EQUIPMENT. THE CAPACITY OF THE TREATERS IS 800 BPD AT 200PPM MERCAPTAN. THERE IS ALSO A SECOND SWEETENER WITH A PETROLITE PRECIPITATOR.

Plant Three

100,000 BPD oil refinery and process plant.  Refinery consists of 100,000 bpd atmospheric crude distillation, 30,000 bpd vacuum crude distillation, 8700 bpd visbreaker, 20,000 bpd thermal catalytic cracking, catalytic reforming, 13,000 bpd reformer, 15,000 bpd catalytic desulphurization, C3-C4 splitter, 12,000 bpd Merox treatment, 4,000 bpd ashphalt blending, 70 tpd sulphur recovery, 28,000 bpd feed preparation unit for reformers,  and 3,900 bpd alkylation’s unit.  Aromatics plant consists of benzene-toluene-xylenes super fractionation unit, toluene disproportionate unit, UDEX extraction unit, LP reformer, NO2 and cyclo hexane.   Also waste treatment plant, storage capacity, and utilities.
